About the PELMO assessment
PELMO’s standard assessment is about 70 minutes long and has four sections:
Speaking
Choose one question from three options, take two minutes to prepare your answer by writing notes, and then speak for up to 90 seconds. This is a video recording.
Speaking and listening
Watch a video of 6-9 minutes and take notes. After the video (you can only watch once) summarize the information in your own words and then answer one of the questions on the topic. You can talk for up to 90 seconds. This is a video recording.
Writing
Choose one question from three options. You have 30 minutes to write the answer
to the question.
Reading and Writing
Choose one article from two options. Read the article, then summarize it in your own words. Then choose one of the questions and write the answer. You have 20 minutes to write the answer.
